This mountain was covered with colored moss. |

When I looked closer, the crows and some kind of tool for climbing showed
up. |

Near the border of Arizona and Nevada I found Joshua trees. |

The prickly pear in the northern Arizona desert were very bright. |
 |
 |

Bordering the Mojave desert, the flowers were all in bloom. |

 |

These are the first flowers I found . . . |
 |

when I came into Northern California. |

The name of the town was Asti. |

California Poppies. |

I had to take a look at Asti grapes. |

A variety of Vetch. |

The highways were alit with blooms. |
 |

On my way to the redwoods |

Had to stop for a beer. |

My first picture of the redwoods. |

I discovered this little patch of irises. |

I prayed for fog. It's the only way to capture the majesty of the redwoods. |

This iris was precious. |

These were growing along my path |

I'd never seen a flower like this. |

With the mist, the trees seemed to reach up into the clouds. |

 |

Along the Avenue of the Giants. |

The only way to see how large they are, is to put a human next to them. |

In the Rockefeller Forest. |

I jumped from the car |

when I spotted this eagle. |

A rabbit had been hit on the road. |

Seven vultures and one crow showed up for dinner. |

The crow is not impressed. |

The crow is still not impressed. |

Actually, the crow could be a raven. |
