The Grand Tetons.

Some of the most spectacular mountains in the US.

This osprey kept following me.

The change in geology when I got deep into Wyoming was startling.

A slight delay...

as this herd was moved over the highway.

I enjoyed the show.

Amazing painted desert.

Coming into South Dakota I hit a storm that stretched from Canada to Kansas

Veil Falls in the Black Hills.

I'd visited the Crazy Horse monument as a child of 10. It is progressing slowly. The face is completed.

The center has truly changed since I had been there in 1961.

Natives from all around the US support this site.

A portrait of the Sculptor.

The sculptor's wife.

These fighting stallions were magnificent.

Sitting Bull.

Sitting Bull's peace pipe.

This is how it will be carved.

Mitake Oyasin.

Crazy Horse Memorial.
There is a Native American learning center here. They are keeping the spirit alive.

The only buffalo I found were in a picnic area.

I caught this humming bird at sunset.

When I arrived home, here are the alto-cumulus clouds that precede storms. (like the one I'd passed along the way).
